And yes, I've been to Roland and looking for drivers but they keep referring to the newer Stika cutters like the STX-7 and STX-8. Stika software since I can't get SignMate to load up right now. usually ending with the vinyl and backing getting wadded up inside the cutting area and me frantically shutting it off so it doesn't throw gears and smoke. I even tried a self print test page (in the control panel/properties/print test page) and I then get the blade to drop onto the vinyl but the pressure is too much and it cuts through the vinyl AND the backing paper. I load the vinyl, it shows it's ready and when I send to print (cut), it basically buzzes a little and rolls the vinyl out without dropping the cutting blade. STIKA will then produce attractive decals, POP, signs, labels or other graphics with incredible ease. Just connect the STIKA to your PC and press POWER. I'm wondering if I do not have the correct Driver installed for the SCP-85 because it is showing a sign of life but nothing is actually being cut when I send it to the printer cue. STIKA is amazingly compact and lightweight. I am reaching out to anyone who may be able to help me out with some issues I'm having trying to get it to work properly on Windows XP. I know there are quite a few modelers out there who have bought these at the shows and I assume many are still in service. I am working with a SCP-85 Roland Stika cutter borrowed from a buddy.
